Service Description
Who should schedule this appointment? This appointment should be scheduled by an entity (charitable organization) that requires tax-exempt status but doesn't qualify for the 1023EZ. Upon booking the appointment, the client will receive an engagement letter, tax questionnaire, and other documents to complete before the appointment. During the appointment, our firm will review the information and follow up with any documents that can assist with preparing the entity request. What does this service include? This service does not include accounting or tax planning services. This appointment is for the preparation of the tax-exempt application only, which consists of the following: * Request for state nonprofit entity status * Obtain the client's employee identification number (EIN) * Complete the preparation of the Form 1023 application * CPA to serve as Power of Attorney for the duration of the application process * Meeting with CPA Please note that the deposit is nonrefundable and will be applied to the cost of the service and final invoice. Clients can reschedule the appointment once, if necessary, by emailing our office at assistant@washcpallc.com. How to submit your documents to our firm Our firm uses an online server to retrieve information from clients. Clients can upload documents using our website's homepage. Clients must submit their engagement letter, tax organizer, and tax documents before the appointment. WCPA will provide a link to download the required files upon booking. Please note that if we do not have your documents at the time of the appointment, we may request that you reschedule. Follow up procedures Our firm will begin processing your information as soon as possible. Please submit your information in a timely manner to complete your return. If you cannot do so, please feel free to reach out to our office. If you do not submit files or requested information within sixty (60) days from the engagement, we may be required to close your file inactively.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel a session or appointment, please contact our office within 24 hours prior to the appointment. Appointments not cancelled during this time period will not be allowed to reschedule. Please note, deposits are nonrefundable. Appointments can be rescheduled only once after cancellation.
